Strawberry Gelato (serves 4)
鈥? pound fresh strawberries
鈥?/4 cup sugar, or more to taste
鈥? cup mascarpone or creme fraiche
Remove the stems from the strawberries. Cut lengthwise in half and then cut each half again. You are going to freeze them so the smaller they are, the faster they will freeze and the better the texture your finished product will have.
Arrange the strawberry pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet and slide into the freezer for 2 hours, until frozen solid.
Put the frozen strawberry pieces into a food processor, add the sugar and pulse briefly. Add the mascarpone or creme fraiche and pulse until the mixture is smooth as silk.
Divide between 4 bowls and serve immediately. You can also transfer the gelato into another container and freeze. Once the gelato is frozen solid, you can put it back into the food processor and pulse again briefly before serving!
I鈥檝e tried this with strawberries and peaches. The variations are endless. I鈥檓 thinking blueberries next time. Let me know what comes to mind!Homemade gelato or ice cream without an ice cream maker?
You can make ice cream without an ice cream maker. After the mixture has cooled, place it in a plastic food storage container with a lid and place it in the freezer. After 20 minutes, take it out of the freezer and beat the mixture; then freeze again for 20 minutes and then beat again. Afterwards, place the mixture back in the freezer overnight.
The ice cream won't be as smooth as ice cream made with an ice cream maker, but it will taste just as good.
You can use a mixer or food processor,
Gelato
1 large Box Jello (example-Strawberry Flavor)
1 Can Condensed Milk
1 cup milk
1 cup fresh fruit (example Strawberries)
In a Food processor add Strawberries, Milk, condensed milk,Jello
If you want Chocolate, use a large Chocolate Pudding Mix and follow the same recipe.
The main thing is to get air into your product.
Process on high for about 4 minutes to beat in volume, remove and freeze in a covered container.
This is an easy and fun recipe for making ice cream
you will need
-1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup milk or half %26amp; half
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 tablespoons rock salt
- 1 pint-size plastic food storage bag (e.g., Ziploc)
- 1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
- Ice cubes
How to Make it
1. Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
4. Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
5. Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy!
Tips this will make only about a scoop of ice cream but if you want two scoops double the amount.
Another recipe is
You will need
1/4 teaspoon imitation vanilla butter and nut flavor
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup 1% milk
Put the ice-cream ingredients in the small bag, and then put the bag, salt, and ice in the big bag. Hold the bag shut and stir it around on the floor for about 5 minutes. Although the salt pellets hardly dissolved, I got ice cream. It was not as smooth as ice cream, probably because of the low-fat milk. Instead, it was a little like sherbet. I think if I had more ice in the bag, I could have shaken it better. I'd recommend wearing gloves. It is incredible that it is ready in 5 minutes (not counting assembling the ingredients.)
Good Luck!!!!
