How do you make fried ice cream at home?

1 pint ice cream, any flavor

1 loaf sliced white bread

6 to 8 cups canola oil, for frying

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Place a plate or sheet pan in the freezer and let it chill for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Using a large ice cream scoop, make balls of ice cream and place them on the sheet pan then return them to the freezer.

Cut the crusts off the sliced bread and using about 2 slices per ice cream ball, form the bread around the ice cream using your hands to pack it like a snow ball. Once it's completely covered return it to the freezer.

In a medium saucepan, heat 3 inches of canola oil to 365 degrees F. Drop the covered ice cream balls, one at a time, into the hot oil and fry, turning occasionally so they color evenly, until golden brown on all sides. Remove from oil and briefly drain on paper towels. Stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Coat fried ice cream in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve immediately.How do you make fried ice cream at home?
It is made by taking a scoop of deep-frozen ice cream (frozen well below the standard 0 degrees F at which ice cream is generally kept), possibly rolling it in eggs, then rolling in cornflakes or cookie crumbs, and then briefly deep frying -- the super-low temperature of the ice cream prevents it from melting while being fried. Finally it might be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.How do you make fried ice cream at home?
Carjack the Good Humor van, set it on fire.
A good way to make mock fried ice cream is to take hard ice cream balls and roll them in crushed corn flakes. Pour honey on top and it's delicious!
get some ice cream when u buy from a store..and heat up ur fryer and fry the ice cream..ewwwwwww thats dicusting..waht kind of idiot would ask such question..yuck..try it..and lets see if u like ur ';ice cream';
soften vanilla ice cream to where you can shape into balls just a bit smaller than a hardball (if you're not into baseball, then about 3'; in diameter). Make a mix of cinnamon (cinnamon to your taste) and granulated sugar - set aside. Roll (coat heavily) ice cream balls in the mixture and put on cookie sheet and freeze - very very well. Overnight is not a bad idea. When ready to deep-fry, heat fresh oil to temp you would use for French Fries. Gently put ice cream balls into oil. Sugar will carmelize very quick on the ice cream, making a crispy cinnamon/sugar coat. As soon as that happens (30 seconds to 2 minutes), remove, put in dish, drizzle honey over top and sides. Eat and enjoy.
