What is the difference between ice-cream and frozen yogurt?

Ice Cream is (usually) made from a combination of cream and milk - with sugar or other sweetener and flavor added to it.





Frozen Yogurt is made from cultured milk, sugar or other sweeteners and flavor.





Cultured milk is regular milk with the addition of a healthy bacteria. Unlike regular, non-frozen, yogurt - frozen yogurt generally has not been fermented. When you eat frozen yogurt, you may detect a slight 'tartness' from the cultured milk.





Regular yogurt generally has live and active cultures in it - frozen yogurt rarely has it.





Generally frozen yogurt is going to have less fat than ice cream - but read the label to be sure as there is a big range of fat content among both frozen yogurts and ice cream.

Frozen Yogurt - it is made out of milk, and other natural flavours, and dosent have any flavours like strawberry, or mint chocolate, ETC. but some yogurt has toppings. and some people add flavour , such as guava, and strawberry or mango. their all fruits unlike ice cream

Its pretty self explanatory... Frozen yogurt is YOGURT that is frozen. Ice cream is just what it is... Its not a difficult concept to understand.

Frozen yogurt has less fat as it's yogurt not cream and it's lighter and healthier for you
