Freeze some softened ice cream in an 8'; round cake pan with a cut out round of wax paper in the bottom.Flop it on the bottom of an 8'; round cardboard with foil covering and saran wrap covering..Put icing on that layer. Get a cake mix and bake two 8'; rounds. Flop one over onto the ice cream round and put icing on the cake.Wrap with saran wrap and foil and put in freezer .
With the extra cake round layer, you could make another ice cream cake or make cupcakes, or eat as plain cake....
